Answer:

The length of the Ricardo's rose bush  is  1.47  yards .

Step-by-step explanation:

The initial height of the rose bush =  9/12 yard =  0.75 yards

The length of the bush which is cut  = 1/9 yard

So, the remaining height =  The initial height - The pruned part

= \frac{9}{12}  - \frac{1}{9}  =  \frac{3(9)- 4}{36} = \frac{23}{36}

So, the pruned part of the tree = 23/36 yards in height

Now, the growth of the bush after some time = 5/6 yards

So, the present height of the bush

= Height after it was pruned + The growth

= \frac{23}{36} + \frac{5}{6}    = \frac{23 + 6(5)}{36}   = \frac{23 + 30}{36}   = \frac{53}{36}

Hence, the length of the Ricardo's rose bush  is 53/36( = 1.47)  yards .

What is pi and why is it important
Allushta [10]
Pi<span> (π) is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. It doesn't matter how big or small the circle is - the ratio stays the same. Properties like this that stay the same when you change other attributes are called constants.

The members of a health spa pay annual membership dues of $300 plus a charge of $2 for each visit to the spa. Let Y denote the d
Ganezh [65]

Answer:

Y = 300 + 2X

Y( in dollars)

It is a functional relationship because a change in the value of X results in a corresponding change in the value of Y. And does not involve any uncertainty.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Annual fixed due = $300

Variable cost = $2 per visit

X = number of visits in a year

Y = total yearly cost.

Y = annual cost + variable cost

Y = $300 + $2×X

Y = 300 + 2X

Y( in dollars)

It is a functional relationship because a change in the value of X results in a corresponding change in the value of Y. And does not involve any uncertainty.
