Given:
39 widgets per seconds
6 widgets to make 1 whoozit

3,500,000 whoozits * 6 widgets/whoozits = 21,000,000 widgets
21,000,000 widgets / 39 widgets/sec = 538,461.54 seconds

1 day = 24 hours
1 hour = 60 minutes
1 minutes = 60 seconds
1 hour = 3600 seconds

3,600 seconds * 24 hrs = 86,400 seconds
538,461.54 seconds / 86,400 seconds per day = 6.23 days.

B. 6 days.

Anna, Beth and Colleen are softball players. This season, Anne had 65 base hits in 160 at-bats. Beth batting average was 0.399,
zheka24 [161]

Answer:

Anne is the best hitter as she has the best hitting average of 0.406

Step-by-step explanation:

Anne hits 65 bases out of 160 at - bats.

Beth's betting average = 0.399

Collin's hit = 40%

Now, we need to convert all the three hitting rates into same parameters to compare them with each other.

Average hit rate of Anne = \frac{\textrm{Total numberof base}}{\textrm{Total number of  at - bats}}

= \frac{65}{160} = 0.406

⇒The betting average of Anne = 0.406

Now, The hit - rate of Collin = 40%

Converting the percentage rate into decimal, we get the hit rate of Collin

= \frac{40}{100} = 0.40

Hence, we get that Hitting Average of :

<u>Anne = 0.406</u>,  Beth = 0.3999 and Collin = 0.400

Hence, from the above data Anne is the best hitter as she has the best hitting average of 0.406.

19. A spherical balloon has a circumference of 19cm. what is the approximate surface area of the balloon to the nearest square c
Tamiku [17]
The main formula of a spherical surface area is SA= 4 x Pi x r²
the circumference is C= 19cm =2 Pi r, so r = C/ 2Pi = 19 / 6.28 =3.02cm
so the surface area can be found by computing
SA= 4x 3.14x 3.02² =114.5, the nearest square centimeter is <span>A) 114 cm^2</span>

-6                -6

2/3 - 6 = -16/3

-16/3 = 8/x

*x          *x

(-16/3)x = 8
