the bag. The bag has 12 yellow ribbons, 7 red ribbons, and 3 blue ribbons. If Jane picks a ribbon, what is the probability that the ribbon will be yellow and what is the likelihood of this event?
A.The probability is 1, and the event is certain.
B.The probability is 3/11 , and the event is likely.
C.The probability is 6/11 , and the event is unlikely.
D The probability is 6/11 , and the event is neither likely nor unlikely.

Answer: Hello there!

We know that the bag has:

12 yellow ribbons, 7 red ribbons, and 3 blue ribbons.

this is a total of 22 ribbons.

The probability of picking a yellow ribbon is equal to the number of yellow ribbons divided by the total amount of ribbons:

this is 12/22, that can be simplified to 6/11

6/11 is equal to 0.545

this is equivalent to 54.5%, then this an almost even chance, so is neither likely or unlikely.

Then the right answer is option D "The probability is 6/11, and the event is neither likely nor unlikely."

A car travels about 34 feet in one second. At this speed,
natta225 [31]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

34 * 7= 238

34 feet per second, means that we have to mulitply 7 by 34.

Its really simple!

1 second: 34

7 seconds: ?

for example, if we needed 2 seconds we would muliplty by 2, 34 * 2 because we double it, the same way we would solve that, we would solve 34*7

If g(x)=2x + 1, find g(a + h)- g(a). 2h 2h + 2 h + 1
katovenus [111]
G(x) = 2x + 1

Find g(a + h):
g(a + h) = 2(a + h) + 1 = 2a + 2h + 1

Find g(a):
g(a) = 2(a) + 1 = 2a + 1

Find g(a + h) - g(a):
g(a + h) - g(a) = 2a + 2h + 1 - ( 2a + 1)

Distribute the negative sign:
g(a + h) - g(a) = 2a + 2h + 1 - 2a - 1

Combine like terms:
g(a + h) - g(a) = 2h

Answer: 2h
