I looked at the other one you just asked and I couldn't figure it out. I understand this one.

Laney goes from 1 to 5, Gus from 1 to 6, Gus has the greater range. TRUE

Just eyeballing the data, Gus's median is 5, Laney's is 3. TRUE

Laney's data is more symmetrical, closer to the usual bell shape. Gus is heavily weighted toward the higher values, less symmetrical. TRUE

What is 8(1/4x-3)+24<4(x+5)
Sergio039 [100]

Hey there!

We can solve inequalities just like equations. There is only one difference though. If you ever multiply or divide both sides by a negative number, you "flip" the inequality sign.

First, let's undo the parentheses.

2x-24+24<4x+20

We simplify.

2x<4x+20

We subtract 4x from both sides.

-2x<20

We divide both sides by -2 (we will need to flip the inequality sign).

x>-10

I hope this helps!
