Aunt Bev was desperately trying to keep Jake's Father happy because she knows that Kara did wrong by breaking Jake's nose.

At school, two boys namely Jake and Ethan bully Kara. She runs from them by climbing a high wall. However, Jake manages to taunt her about her father losing his job. At this Kara throws her book at Jake. The book lands on his nose breaking it and causing bleeding.
