-2/9 n + 14 = 6

Subtract 14 from both sides

-2/9 n = - 8

Multiply both sides by 9

-2n = -72

Divide both sides by (-2)

n = 36

-(2/9)n + 14 = 6

Isolate the n. Note the equal sign. What you do to one side, you do to the other. Do the opposite of PEMDAS.

-(2/9)n + 14 (-14) = 6 (-14)

-2/9n = -8

Multiply -9/2 to both sides to isolate the n

(-2/9n)-9/2 = -8(-9/2)

n = -8(-9/2)

n = 72/2

n = 36

n = 36 is your answer

What's the Volume of this??
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

V = 90 cm^3

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume is given by

V = Bh

where B is the area of the base and  h is the height

The base is the two sides that are identical, which is the triangle

B = 1/2 bh

   = 1/2 (4*3)

   = 1/2 (12)

   = 6

Substituting into the volume equation, where h = 15

V = 6*15

V = 90 cm^3

2. (-5+ 6n to the 3rd power) + (1- 2n to the 2nd power)
Alja [10]
I think it would -4 + 6n to the power of 3 - 2n to the power of 2. I could be wrong. If so, you can report it as an error or something.

Bob says that he can find the area of the triangle below using the formula: A = <img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=%5Cfrac%7B1%7D
Goryan [66]

Answer:

No.

Step-by-step explanation:

No, Bob is not correct.

The formula he's using is the following:

A=\frac{1}{2} ab\sin(C)

The important thing here is that the angle is between the two sides.

In the given triangle, 120 is not between 8 and 18. Therefore, using this formula will not be valid.

Either Bob needs to find the other side first or find the angle between 8 and 18.
