Answer:

The correct option is D.

Explanation:

In the year 1952, two scientists, Hershey and Chase conducted a series of experiments that helped to establish the fact that DNA is a genetic material. The DNA is located inside the nucleus of living cells in form of chromosomes and its the determinant of traits that are found in living organisms. During protein synthesis, the information in the DNA molecule is encoded into an RNA molecule and this is used in the production of protein, thus, DNA actually directs all the happen in the living cells.

According to the _____ theory, when a physiological need, such as hunger, creates an aroused tension state, it drives the organi
madreJ [45]

Answer:

the drive-reduction theory

Explanation:

The drive-reduction theory is one of the theories of motivation.

This theory contains the idea that a physiological need creates a drive, which in turn motivates an organism to satisy their need.

The theory targets homeostasis or biological balance.

When there is a need such as lack of water, the need would cause a drive to be developed (thirst).

The drive would activate a response (search for water to drink).

The response is then terminated when the need has been satisfied.

Transformation of Energy
iris [78.8K]

Answer:

Energy transformation is when energy changes from one form to another – like in a hydroelectric dam that transforms the kinetic energy of water into electrical energy. While energy can be transferred or transformed, the total amount of energy does not change – this is called energy conservation.

What heppens to blood after a person dies? How does this impact the appearance of the body?
bija089 [108]

Answer: It is no longer circulated throughout the body supplying oxygenated blood. The un-oxygenated blood turns blue which makes the body look “dusky”. Since it is no longer circulating, the blood pools in the lowest part of the body making these areas looked dark or bruised. (If the person was laying on their back, the blood would pool on the backside of the body)

Explanation:

When a person dies, the heart stops circulating blood and the lungs stop oxygenating the recirculated blood. The blood turns blue and pools in lowest place.

Define the terms phenotype and genotype, and describe the relationship between them
Roman55 [17]

Genotype

DEFINITION

IT IS THE GENETIC MAKEUP OF THE CELLS.

Phenotype

DEFINITION

IT IS PHYSICAL APPEARANCE OF ORGANISMS.

The Genotype, carried by all living organisms, holds the critical instructions that are used and interpreted by the cellular machinary of the cells to produce the r Phenotype of the organism.

Thus, all the physical parts, the molecules, cells and other structures, are built and maintained by cells following the instructions give by the genotype.

Snowcat [4.5K]

Answer:

The correct answer is "low concentration of oxygen".

Explanation:

One of the key characteristic of aquatic dead zones is its low concentration of oxygen. Aquatic dead zones are classified into this category for being hypoxic, condition that do not support the growth of most marine life. Most aquatic dead zones are in these conditions because of a high content of nutrient pollution caused by human activities.
