The pressure gradient in the ventricles exceeds the pressure in the pulmonary artery and aorta.
Anna35 [415]

Answer:

TRUE

Explanation:

In the cardiovascular system, the blood flows from high pressure to low pressure.

In the ventricular ejection phase, when the muscles of the ventricles contract, the pressure gradient in ventricles rises. This increases in the pressure in the ventricles exceeds the pressure in the pulmonary artery and aorta, thus opening pulmonary and aortic valves and ejecting the blood from the heart.

Assisting in Pulmonary and Cardiology Medicine and Performing EKGs: Professionalism Assignment
ivanzaharov [21]

Answer:

Explanation:

Sooo I'm literally in high school but I wanna be a doctor so I'm gonna see if I can answer this with some course of knowledge. So I'm assuming that since hes a male medical assistant, and the girl is 18, he is allowed to preform an EKG? I also know that if he has proper training he can preform an EKG. It seems kinda weird that no other staff attendees were in the exam room, and how she was instructed to remove her clothing and was obviously not comfortable. He should have asked the girl if she wanted someone else in the room with her, such as a female medical assistant or even just another female. I think he should have also given her something to drape over herself, once the pads were in place. Maybe since she didn't have a drape over her she became cold, and anxious. That's all I can really answer:)

after administering a loop diuretic, a nurse monitors the client for increased urine output. what principle explains the seconda
Levart [38]

The correct answer for this question is Osmosis.

Osmotic diuresis is an increase in urine production brought on by the presence of specific chemicals in the tiny kidney tubes. When chemicals like glucose enter the kidney tubules and cannot be reabsorbed, excretion takes place (due to a pathological state or the normal nature of the substance). The compounds raise the osmotic pressure inside the tubule, which causes water to be retained in the lumen and inhibits water absorption, boosting urine production (i.e., diuresis). Therapeutics like mannitol, which is used to improve urine output and decrease extracellular fluid volume, have the similar effect.

By making the blood more osmolar, substances in the circulation can also increase the volume of fluid flowing through the body.

AlekseyPX

Respiratory depression

Respiratory depression is a complication of epidural anesthesia and should be closely monitored in laboring clients. A failed block, accidental intrathecal block, and a postdural headache are all side effects of a spinal epidural block

What is Epidural anesthesia ?

Epidural anesthesia is often used during labor and delivery, and surgery in the pelvis and legs. Epidural and spinal anesthesia are often used when:

 • The procedure or labor is too painful without any pain medicine. The procedure is in the belly, legs, or feet

 • If you choose to have an epidural, a physician anesthesiologist will insert a needle and a tiny tube, called a catheter, in the lower part of your back.
