And when homeostasis is interrupted, your body may correct or worsen the problem based on certain influences: it can cause diabetes, where the endocrine system has difficulty to maintain the correct blood glucose levels, you might have a problem producing heat from the nutrients you take in, it causes insulin secretion to be stopped, the plasma pH (blood pH) can be altered by respiratory changes in the partial pressure of carbon dioxide, and other systems may present problems as well.
