False, the range is just determined by minising the lowest from the highest, but the variables can still get you the same mean, which can lead to the same standard deviation

The answer is false.

Different ranges do not always imply difference in SD. In fact, sometimes distributions can have similar descriptive statistics with different ranges.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

C. -11<x<-4

|-2x-15|<7 split into possible cases

- 2x - 15 < 7, - 2 x - 15 > 0

-(- 2x - 15 ) <7, -2x - 15 < 0 solve the inequalities

x>-11, x < -15/2

x< -4, x> -15/2 Find the intersections

[ -11, -15/2 ]

-15/2, -4]  Find the union

Why do you think y= ax+b is called a linear equation <br> Please help
Shalnov [3]

Answer:

Y=mx+b Is a linear equasion because if you plot the x and y on a graph it always shows a straight line.

Step-by-step explanation:

For example, y=7x+9,

When x is 1 y is 16, and

when x is 2 y is 23.

When you put those two points on a graph and connect the dots with a ruler, you get a straight line, and you will automatically find that when x is 3 y is 30.
