The "rate" at which something travels can be referred to as velocity.

V = displacement / time

So going with the wind, Vp + Vw = 1800 / 3.6 = 500 mph
Going against the wind, Vp - Vw = 1800 / 4 = 450 mph

Vp = 500 - Vw
Vp = 450 + Vw

500 - Vw = 450 +Vw

2Vw = 50

Vw = 25 mph
Vp = 475 mph

"Increasing" and "decreasing" are references to what the y-values do when the x-values increase.

Attached is a copy of all four tables, marked with whether the y-values increased or decreased on each step (and it also shows how much that increase or decrease was.

The only table that does this is the top right table in the attachment, which is your second table.

Jerome's rain gauge show 13 9/10 CM at the end of last month at the end of this month the rain gauge showed 15 3/10 centimeter h
otez555 [7]
What you must do for this case is subtract both quantities and verify the final result.
 We have then:
 15 3 / 10-13 9/10 =
 Rewriting
 15.3 - 13.9 =
 1.4 =
 1 4/10
 answer:
 this month fell 1 4/10 more centimeters of rain

What does it mean for a differential equation to be autonomous?
andrew11 [14]
The term "autonomous" refers to an ordinary differential equation that relates the derivatives of the dependent variable as a function *only* of the dependent variable. In other words, the ODE doesn't explicitly depend on the independent variable.

Examples:

y'=y^2-1 is autonomous

y'=y^2-1+x is *not* autonomous

barxatty [35]

Step-by-step explanation:

5, 5, 8, 16, 17, 18

the mode = 5

the median = (8+16)/2 = 24/2 = 12
