These organisms are called transgenic Animals. Genes are basic physical and functional units of heredity. They are made up of DNA molecules and act as instructions for making of proteins through a process called translation. Transgenic animals have foreign genes intentionally injected in their genome, the foreign DNA is created using recombinant DNA methodology.
