Since the sum of all angles of a triangle is 180,

<em>(2x + 13) + (47) + (5y -23) = 180</em>

5y = 143 -2x -----------------(1)

<em>5y - 23 = 3x </em>

<em>From equation (1)</em>

<em>120 = 5x </em>

x = 24 ---------------------- (2)

Using (2) in (1)

<em>5y = 143 - 2(24)</em>

<em>5y = 143 - 48</em>

<em>5y = 95</em>

y = 19

Therefore,

x = 24

y = 19
