Half Tens is a way of multiplying where we have to find the value of given numbers. First we double any 'one' of the two given numbers and multiply both to get an answer. Then we divide that answer by '2' to get the answer.

Lets take two numbers as 16 and 340

16\times340=?

Double the number 16

32\times340=10880

Now we will divide this by 2

\frac{10880}{2}= 5440

So, if we check 16\times340=? , it is 5440.

Similarly if we double the number 340, we get 680

Now, 16\times680=10880

And 10880/2 = 5440

Hence, in both ways the answer is 5440.

How do you solve for the quotient of (x^-1) - 1 ÷ x - 1?
Ber [7]

\bf x^{-1}-1\div x-1\implies \implies \cfrac{1}{x}-1\div x-1\implies \cfrac{\frac{1}{x}-1}{~~x-1~~}\implies \cfrac{~~\frac{1-x}{x}~~}{\frac{x-1}{1}} \\\\\\ \cfrac{1-x}{x}\cdot \cfrac{1}{x-1}\implies \cfrac{-(\begin{matrix} x-1 \\[-0.7em]\cline{1-1}\\[-5pt]\end{matrix})}{x}\cdot \cfrac{1}{\begin{matrix} x-1 \\[-0.7em]\cline{1-1}\\[-5pt]\end{matrix}}\implies -\cfrac{1}{x}\implies -x^{-1}

PLEASE ANSWER I WILL MARK AS BRAINLIEST
Tomtit [17]

Answer:

Six

Step-by-step explanation:

1.Convert all volumes to millilitres

(a) Chlorpheniramine

V = 100 mL

(b) Lidocaine

V = \text{2 fl oz} \times \dfrac{\text{29.57 mL}}{\text{1 fl oz}} = \textbf{59 mL}

(c) Banana flavouring

V = \dfrac{1}{2}\text{ tsp} \times \dfrac{\text{4.928 mL}}{\text{1 tsp}} = \textbf{2.5 mL }

2. Calculate the total volume

Chlorpheniramine = 100  mL

Lidocaine               =   59

Banana flavouring =  <u>   2.5    </u>

TOTAL                    =  162 mL

3. Calculate the number of doses

\text{Doses} = \text{162 mL} \times \dfrac{\text{1 dose}}{\text{10 mL}} = \text{16.2 doses}\\\\\text{You can't take a fraction of a dose, so the there are $\large \boxed{\textbf{16 doses}}$}

If a translation of (x, y) → (x + 6, y – 10) is applied to figure ABCD, what are the coordinates of D'?
Mice21 [21]

Answer:

<em> (x , y) is translated to Horizontal translation right '6' units and </em>

<em>Vertical translation down '10' units      </em>

<em>(x ,y ) →  ( x +6 , y - 10)</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>Explanation</em></u>:-

<em>Type of Transformation                              Change to co-ordinate point</em>

<em></em>

<em>Vertical translation up 'd' units                         (x, y) → (x , y+d)</em>

<em>Vertical translation down 'd' units                    (x, y) → (x , y-d)</em>

<em>Horizontal translation left 'c' units                  (x ,y ) → (x - c , y)</em>

<em>Horizontal translation right 'c' units              (x ,y ) → (x + c , y)</em>

<em></em>

<em>Given (x , y) is translated to Horizontal translation right '6' units and </em>

<em>Vertical translation down '10' units      </em>

<em>There fore </em>

<em>(x ,y ) →  ( x +6 , y - 10)</em>
