Explanation:

electromagnetic waves: Electromagnetic waves or EM waves are waves that are created as a result of vibrations between an electric field and a magnetic field. In other words, EM waves are composed of oscillating magnetic and electric fields.

radio waves: Radio waves are a type of electromagnetic radiation best-known for their use in communication technologies, such as television, mobile phones and radios. These devices receive radio waves and convert them to mechanical vibrations in the speaker to create sound waves.

microwaves: Microwave is a form of electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths ranging from about one meter to one millimeter corresponding to frequencies between 300 MHz and 300 GHz respectively.

infrared: Infrared (IR) light is used by electrical heaters, cookers for cooking food, short-range communications like remote controls, optical fibres, security systems and thermal imaging cameras which detect people in the dark.

visible ray: The visible spectrum is the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to the human eye. Electromagnetic radiation in this range of wavelengths is called visible light or simply light. A typical human eye will respond to wavelengths from about 380 to about 750 nanometers

ultraviolet:UV radiation is widely used in industrial processes and in medical and dental practices for a variety of purposes, such as killing bacteria, creating fluorescent effects, curing inks and resins, phototherapy and suntanning. Different UV wavelengths and intensities are used for different purposes

xray:An X-ray, or, much less commonly, X-radiation, is a penetrating form of high-energy electromagnetic radiation. Most X-rays have a wavelength ranging from 10 picometers to 10 nanometers, corresponding to frequencies in the range 30 petahertz to 30 exahertz (30×1015 Hz to 30×1018 Hz)

gama ray :A gamma ray, also known as gamma radiation, is a penetrating form of electromagnetic radiation arising from the radioactive decay of atomic nuclei.

During exercise, cardiac output may increase by more than 170% to meet the body’s increased O₂ demands. This increase in cardiac
viva [34]

Answer:

c. Vasodilation causes arterial diameter to increase in the exercising skeletal muscle

Explanation:

Cardiac output increases blood pressure due to increased pumping action of the heart. To protect the blood pressure to rise to the fatal levels during exercise or any other activity of excessive muscle contraction, blood vessels are stimulated to dilate.

Dilation of arteries dissipates some of the blood pressure. The arteries with larger diameter have less blood pressure than the arteries with a narrow cavity under the conditions of the same cardiac output. Therefore, the dilation of arteries Dilation does not allow the blood pressure to rise to the harmful levels.

1. Why does mitosis/asexual reproduction occur in all organisms??
arlik [135]

Answer:

  1. Mitosis occurs in all organism and is very important for them. In multicellular organisms,Mitosis allows the growth of cells, regeneration of organs and repairing of worn out cells. In asexually reproducing organisms mitosis is the process of reproduction. In unicellular organisms mitosis helps to produce identical copies.
  2. Some examples of Different types of asexual reproduction are as follows:

    a) Fission- seen in Amoeba, Paramecium etc.

     b) Budding- seen in Hydra, Yeast etc.

    c) Fragmentation- seen in Microstomum

    d) Zoospore - Motile asexual spores formed Ectocarpus, Ulothrix etc.

     e) Vegetative propagation- Seen in plants that grow from parts other than seed.

3. Advantages of asexual reproduction:

  i)No need of sexual partners.

ii) Genetic vigour of parent is preserved . Individuals are identical copies of parent.

  iii) Rapid rate of reproduction.

4. Some Disadvantages of asexual reproduction:

   i) No chance of obtaining new combination.

ii) Rapid reproduction leads to overcrowding and increased struggle for existence

5. The type of reproduction that involves the fusion of two gametes from different individuals is called sexual reproduction.

6. A gene has alternating forms, these forms are called alleles.

7. Sexual reproduction has greater variation because it involves recombination of traits from two parents.

8. All species do not have same chromosomes. Chromosome number is fixed for a particular species e.g. Humans have 46 chromosomes., Onion has 16 chromosome etc.

9. Human haploid cell contains 23 chromosomes.

10. Fusion of a haploid male and a female gamete to form a diploid cell called zygote is called fertilisation.

11. The first diploid cell that is formed after fertilization which can develop into a new organism is called zygote.

12. Diploid number is represented as 2n

Haploid number is represented as n.

"classifications of lipoproteins include: very low density lipoproteins, low density lipoproteins, high density lipoproteins and
zzz [600]

The four types of Lipoproteins are:

Very Low Density Lipoprotein: Very low density lipoprotein consists of protein, cholestrol and fats. It is synthesized at liver. It has 5 apoporotein asosciated with it and in conversion to intermediate density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein these apoproteins are removed except one apoprotein called B100.

Low Density Lipoproteinfats. It chiefly consists of cholestrol. It transport all the fat molecules around the body to extracellular fluid. LDL posses risk of cardiovascualr diseases if it invade the endothellium and oxidized.

High Density Lipoprotein: HDL is the dense lipoprotein with highest protein to fat ratio.HDL takes awat fat from cells to liver thereby lowering blood cholestrol level. Hence also knows as good cholestrol. HDL increases with exercise, weight loss and higher estrogen level.

Chylomicrons: Chylomucrons are largest and least dense lipoprotein. It has got highest triglyceride content. It transport fats and cholestrol from intestine to liver, muscles and fat cells.
