How do u multiply polynominals?
Genrish500 [490]
When you multiply 2 terms together , you'll need to multiply the numbers then add the exponents. Combine the terms if you need to. Distribute each of the term for the 1st polynomial to each term according to the 2nd polynomial.

Find the centroid for an area defined by the equations y = x² + 3 and y = - (x – 2)² + 7
meriva
The points where the 2 graphs intersect is  where x = 0 and x = 2.

-                 2                                  2
x   =    INT               x dA     /    INT        dA
                  0                                  0

INT dA   = INT -x^2 + 4x + 3 - (x^2 + 3 ) dx  =      INT -2x^2  + 4x
               =   -2 x^3/3 + 2x^2
               =   2.667  between 0 and 2

xdA  =   -2x^3 + 4x^2  INT xdA  =   -x^4/2 + 4x^3/3 = 2.667

centroid = 2.667 / 2.667  = 1  (x = 1)

The function h(t) = 210 – 15t models the altitude of a hot air balloon over time t, in minutes.
Liula [17]
H(10) is the altitude of a hot air balloon overtime after 10 minutes. In order to find h(10)'s value, you just have to substitute 10 as t in the equation. h(10) and h(t) represents the value of y in a linear equation. So pretty much: h(10)= 210 - 15(10). If calculated correctly, h(10)=60.
