Answer:

False

Explanation:

A scientific law is one of the methods of inquiring into nature. It is usually drawn from observations which can be empirical or through series of experiments.

A scientific law provide a general overview as to what an observation is. It provides a binding statement that holds true if the conditions agree with the parameters.

The given statement "A scientific law is the explanation of multiple scientific theories." is false.

Answer: Option 2

<u>Explanation :</u>

In the scientific world, hypothesis, facts, laws and theories; all are different from one another. There is a misconception about the scientific hypothesis that it can be upgraded to a theory which can be stated as a scientific law with proper justifications and proofs. The reality is a way different.

Where a scientific theory is a detailed explanation of the phenomenon under observation whereas scientific laws are the statement over any phenomenon happening. They are often a mathematical calculation to justify its statement but lacks in the explanation that a theory can provide.

If you are supposed to put in 2/4 a cup sugar for a recipe, can you just put in a half cup of sugar?
natta225 [31]
I would assume so.

Given \frac{2}{4}, we can simplify the fraction to \frac{1}{2}

Both would obtain the same proportions, so I don't see why putting a half cup of sugar would make things any different.

Hope this is the answer you are looking for.

If you start a chemical reaction with 5 atoms of helium, how many atoms will you have after?
Ivenika [448]

Answer:

5 atoms

Explanation:

When a chemical reaction starts with 5 atoms of hydrogen, and the reaction goes into completion, it must give us 5 atoms of hydrogen.

This is in compliance with the law of conservation of mass which states that "in a chemical reaction, matter is neither created nor destroyed but converted from one form to another".

In chemical reactions, bonds are broken and new compounds are formed in the process. The same number of species at the start and end of the reaction must still be the same.

A plate and frame filter press with 12 frames is used to filter slurry at constant pressure. Total filtration area is 65 ft2 and
Vladimir [108]

Answer:

t_2 = 14.4 min

Explanation:

Given data:

Number of frame is 12+ 8 = 20

Total filtrate is 360 lb

we know

For 1 plate area = \frac{65}{12} ft^2

Then for 20 are PLATE = 20\tmes \frac{65}{12} ft^2 = 108.33 ft^2

filtrate equation is given as

t\frac{\mu_s\times(\alpha v) V^2}{A^2(-\Delta P)}

In the above equation only t and A is variable , all other terms are constant

Therefore we have

\frac{t_2}{t_1}= \frac{A_1}{A_2} = [\frac{65}{105.33}]^2 = 0.36

t_2 = 0.36\times 40 = 14.4 min

t_2 = 14.4 min
