Since they are 2700 miles apart after three hours, therefore -
3v + 6v = 2700

v = 300 miles/sec
Hence, the speed of plane 1 will be 300 miles/sec and that of plane 2 will be = 2v = 2 x 300 = 600 miles/sec.
