Determine which system of equation has (-3,19) and (4,-23) as a solution?

Mathematics
1 answer:
grandymaker [24]2 years ago
4 0

Answer:

y=6x+1

Step-by-step explanation:

First you must find the slope of the two points...

\frac{4--3}{-23-19} which then would equal 6

Then you take the slope and put into point-slope form

(y-y1)=m(x-x1)...take one of the points that is given and plug it into this formula.

so I used (-3,19).

(y-19)=6(x--3)

I would then get y-19=6x+18

Add 19 to both sides and you will get y=6x+1

You estimate that there are 44 marbles in a jar. The actual amount is 73 marbles. Find the percent error.
Svetlanka [38]

Answer:

Percentage Error in counting the marbles in the jar is 39.72%

Step-by-step explanation:

Estimated marbles in the jar = 44

Actual marbles in the jar  = 73

⇒Error in  Marbles  =  Number of actual Marbles - Estimated marbles

                                 =   73  - 44 = 29

So, the error in counting marbles in the jar is 29.

Now, \textrm{Percentage Error} = \frac{\textrm{Error in the Data}}{\textrm{Actual Data}} \times 100

= \frac{29}{73} \times 100 = 39.72

or, Percentage Error  =  39.72%

Hence, the Percentage Error in counting the marbles in the jar is 39.72%
