Forensic medicine, also called legal medicine, medical jurisprudence or judicial medicine, is the branch of medicine that applies all the medical and biological knowledge necessary to solve the problems posed by law. The forensic doctor assists judges and courts in the administration of justice, determining the origin of the injuries suffered by an injured person or the cause of death by examining a corpse. It studies the medical aspects derived from the daily practice of the courts of justice, where they act as experts. It is closely linked with medical law. The specialist doctor in the area is called a forensic doctor or forensic doctor.

Therefore we can say that the testimonies and opinions of the forensic scientists are very convincing due to the accuracy of the data they provide, aided by the scientific methods used and the accuracy of the same.
