Write a quadratic equation in standard form with roots -2 and -5

To solve this problem. First lets work our way backwards and try to figure out the binomials that will result in these roots.

-2 root = X int = -2
Thus it would be (X +2) because if you solve for x the solution or X intercept is -2.
Same thing for -5.
(X+5).

Next place them together and multiply or foil to obtain the quadratic.

Y = (X+5)(X+2)
Y = X^2 + 7x + 10

Standard form = Ax^2 +/- Bx +/- C = 0.

The standard form is X^2 + 7x + 10.

Solving Exponential and Logarithmic Equation In exercise,solve for x or t.See example 5 and 6.
Amanda [17]

Answer:

t=\frac{ln 3}{12ln(1 +\frac{0.07}{12})}

t=15.74

Step-by-step explanation:

( 1 + 0.07/12)^{12t} = 3

Take ln on both sides

ln(( 1 +\frac{0.07}{12})=ln 3

move the exponent 12t before ln as per log property

12tln(1 +\frac{0.07}{12})=ln 3

now divide the ln on both sides to make 12t alone

12t=\frac{ln 3}{ln(1 +\frac{0.07}{12})}

divide both sides on both sides

t=\frac{ln 3}{12ln(1 +\frac{0.07}{12})}

t=15.74

The hypotenuse of a right triangle measures 10 inches, and the side opposite to ∠θ, one of the non-right angles, is 5 inches lon
NISA [10]
The measure of angle theta is 30 degrees.

This is a 30-60-90 triangle where the short leg is half that of the hypotenuse. The short leg is opposite the smallest angle 30 degrees.

You can use trig to find that
sin(angle) = opposite/hypotenuse
sin(theta) = 5/10
sin(theta) = 0.5
theta = arcsin(0.5)
theta = 30 degrees
