Your school drama club is putting on a play and hopes to raise $600 from ticket sales. They sell adult tickets for $8 each and s

tudent tickets for $5 each. Let x represent the number of adult tickets and y represent the number of student tickets. The equation to represent the number of tickets sold to reach their goal, 8x+ 5y = 600, is graphed below. If 40 adult tickets are sold, how many student tickets must be sold to reach their goal?

8x40=320 +280=600 5x50=250 +5x6=30 320+250+30+600 so they will have to sell 40 adult tickets and 256 student tickets to accomplish their goal

Magdeline wants to know if the number of words on a page in her art book is generally more than the number of words on a page in
navik [9.2K]
The deviation σ in the art book =15.4, the σ in the Science =7.9

Consequently the art book has data further away from the mean when compared to the science book. It will be difficult to have a valid inference.
No, because there is a lot of variability in the art book data

Natalka [10]

Answer:

Total distance traveled is 67.653 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Side a = 14 (miles traveled South)

Side b = 25 (miles traveled East)

side c = a^{2} + b^{2}

196 + 625 = c^{2}

821 = c^{2}

\sqrt{821} = \sqrt{c^{2} }

c = 28.653 (rounded to the nearest 1000th)

Now add the three sides to get the total distance:

14 + 25 + 28.653 = 67.653

PIT_PIT [208]
Here, I'll have a try:
This expression is the multiplication of a binomial and a trinomial.. The binomial has two terms, while the trinomial has three terms. Use the distributive property of multiplication,
Step 1, multiply every term of the trinomial with the first term of the binomial, then multiple every term of the trinomial with the second term of the binomial. Use parenthesis to separate each multiplication to avoid confusion.
step 3, simply every multiplication
step 4, add up like trms
