Answer:

* The value of a1 = 945.65 ⇒ answer c

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets revise the geometric series

- There is a constant ratio between each two consecutive numbers

- Ex:

# 5  ,  10  ,  20  ,  40  ,  80  ,  ………………………. (×2)

# 5000  ,  1000  ,  200  ,  40  ,  …………………………(÷5)

* General term (nth term) of a Geometric Progression:

- U1 = a  ,  U2  = ar  ,  U3  = ar²  ,  U4 = ar³  ,  U5 = ar^4

- Un = ar^n-1, where a is the first term , r is the constant ratio

 between each two consecutive terms, n is the position

 of the term

- The sum of first n terms of a Geometric series is calculate

  from Sn = [a1 (1 - r^n)]/(1 - r) , where a1 is the first term, r is the

  common ratio and n is the number of the terms

* Lets solve the problem

∵ Sn = 88,560

∵ r = 2.2

∵ n = 6

∵ Sn = [a1 (1 - r^n)]/(1 - r)

∴  88,560 = [a1 (1 - 2.2^6)]/(1 - 2.2) ⇒ simplify up and down

∴ 88,560 = [a1 (-112.379904)]/(-1.2) ⇒ simplify the fraction

∴ 88,560 = a1 (93.64992) ⇒ divide both sides by 93.64992

∴ a1 = 945.6494998 ≅ 945.65

* The value of a1 = 945.65

The answer is 5 because 16+4=20 and 3s + s = 4s so you’re left with 4s = 20 and I know that 4 times 5 is 20.

A washer and dryer cost a total of $924. The cost of the washer is two times the cost of the dryer. Find the cost of each item.
marshall27 [118]

Answer:

Washer = $616, Dryer = $308

Step-by-step explanation:

When something is twice the cost of something else but add up to be a total number that means 2/3rds is one item and 1/3 is the other.

924 / 3 = 308

308 * 2 = 616

308 + 616 = 924

Ashton is saving money for a new bike. He needs 120$ But only has saved 60% so far. How much more money does he need to buy the
kherson [118]

Answer:

$48

Step-by-step explanation:

Ashton is saving money for a new bike. He needs 120$ But only has saved 60% so far. How much more money does he need to buy the scooter

Ashton needs money for new bike=120$

savings of ashton is 60 % of his bike cost

hence 60% of 120 dollar will be

His saving=(60/100)*120=7200/100=72$

remaining cost will be obtained by subtracting saved money from total cost

total cost=120 dollar

saved money=72dollar

hence

Remaining more money he needed is =120-72=48$
