PLEASE HELP QUICK!!!!! FIND THD SLOPE
earnstyle [38]

Answer:

slope = \frac{1}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Calculate slope m using the slope formula

m = \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}  }{x_{2}-x_{1}  }

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (0, 0) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (3, 1) ← 2 points on the line

m = \frac{1-0}{3-0} = \frac{1}{3}

Water flows through a pipe at a rate of 91 fluid ounces every 2.5 weeks. Express this rate of flow in cups per hour.
iris [78.8K]

Answer:

Rate = 0.2167\ fl\ oz/hour

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Rate = \frac{91\ fl\ oz}{2.5\ weeks}

Required

Express the rate as per hour

Rate = \frac{91\ fl\ oz}{2.5\ weeks}

There are 168 hours in  a week;

So, the rate becomes

Rate = \frac{91\ fl\ oz}{2.5 * 168\ hours}

Rate = \frac{91\ fl\ oz}{420\ hours}

Rate = 0.2167\ fl\ oz/hour

Hence;

The equivalent of the given rate is 0.2167\ fl\ oz/hour

How do find the rate of change
Anna007 [38]
Find the slope of the line using the equation (y1-y2)/(x1-x2), which is change in rise over change in run. use any two points, for example (2,-2) and (3,-1). using the formula, (-2-(-1))/(2-3) is the rate of change, giving you -1/-1 as the slope, which is -1. the rate of change is -1.
