Answer:

The Width of the garden will be 9 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Manny has wood =48 feet

Length of the garden = 15 feet

The equation which can be used  (2l+2w) = 48.

We need to find the width of the garden.

Solution :

Now Length of the garden is given we will substitute in the given equation to find the width.

2l+2w=48\\\\2\times15+2w=48\\\\30+2w=48

Now Using Subtraction property we will subtract both side by 30 we get;

30+2w-30=48-30\\\\2w =18

Now Using Division Property we will divide both side by 2 we get;

\frac{2w}{2}=\frac{18}{2}\\\\w= 9\ ft

Hence the Width of the garden will be 9 feet.

What is the length of the hypotenuse, c? Round your answer to the nearest hundredth.
Afina-wow [57]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

By using the Pythagorean theorem:

b^2+3^2=5^2
b^2+9=25

b=sqrt (25-9)

b=sqrt(16)

b=4

=> 4^2+7^2=c^2
16+49=c^2
65=c^2
=>c=sqrt(65)

c = (approximately) 8

This for composite figures
Vinil7 [7]

Answer:

  114 square meters

Step-by-step explanation:

The figure decomposes into two congruent trapezoids, each with bases 15 m and 4 m, and height 6 m. The area formula for a trapezoid is ...

  A = 1/2(b1 +b2)h

__

Each trapezoid will have an area of ...

  A = 1/2(15 +4)(6) = 57 . . . . square meters

The figure's area is twice that, so is ...

  figure area = 2 × 57 m² = 114 m²
