Let the width be x.

Then,Length = ( 2x - 3 ) m

<u>According to the question, </u>

Area of rectangle = 665 m² [ Given ]

Formula: Area of rectangle = Length × Width

\sf \implies \: length \:  \times breadth = 665 \: m {}^{2}

\sf\implies \: (2x - 3) \times x = 665

\sf \implies \: 2 {x}^{2}  - 3x = 665

\sf \implies \:  {2x}^{2}  - 3x - 665 = 0

<u>By split middle term </u>

\sf \implies \: 2 {x}^{2}  - 38x  + 35x - 665 = 0

\sf\implies \: 2x(x - 19) + 35(x - 19) = 0

\sf \implies \: (2x + 35) = 0 \: or \: (x  - 19) = 0

\sf \implies \: x =  \dfrac{ - 35}{2}  \: or \:  \: x = 19 \:

Note: Ignore negative number.

Now,

Width of a rectangle = 19 m

Length of a rectangle = 2x - 3 = 2 × 19 - 3 = 38 - 3 = 35 m

Is (6,3) a solution to this system of equations y=3x - 3 3x - y =3
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Answer:

It is not a solution

Step-by-step explanation:

Plug the point into the equations and check to see if they are true

y=3x - 3

3 = 3(6) -3

3 = 18-3

3 = 15

False

We do not need to check the other equation since this is false

Maddie and her friends are making s'mores over the campfire. they have a bag of 48 marshmallows, 2 packs of graham crackers cont
VladimirAG [237]

The answer would be 16 S'mores and the limiting reactant would be the grahams.

(This is assuming that S'mores would need 2 grahams, 1 marshmallow and 1 chocolate piece.)

Limiting reactant would be the reactant that runs out first.

Let's take your problem into account and see what we have:

48 marshallows

32 grahams (2 x 16 per pack)

45 chocolate pieces (5 x 15 pieces per bar)

Since need 2 of the grahams per S'more then the maximum yield of the grahams is 16 S'mores.

The maximum yield of marshmallows is 48.

The maximum yield of chocolate is 45.

Since you cannot make S'mores without the grahams, then you can only make 16 S'mores before the grahams run out.
