Briefly explain why drug abusers are a high suicide risk.

Well, most drug users are victims to depression or anxiety disorders and may already be suicidal, which is why they may have turned to drug abuse. They often have other factors contributing to suicidal behavior. Substance abuse can be common among people prone to impulsive and among people who engage in a risky behavior, possibly leading to self harm and suicidal behavior.

Some people use drugs to help with depression, anxiety and mood disorders. this how ever does not help them for it makes things worse. Drug users will have medical problems such as heart failure and other things and it makes depression more severe so they harm them selfs I know I personally lost four friends and my sister.
