You will have to wait 35 minutes before you can begin enjoying the swings.
To find this on your own, simply multiply 5 times 7. This is due to seven people being ahead of you, who will be swinging for 5 minutes each.
Be careful, these problems can try to trick you, remember that you a eighth in line, you do not have eight people ahead of you.

Which expression is equivalent to the following complex fraction?<br>2-1/y / 3+ 1/y
ololo11 [35]

Answer:

\frac{2-\frac{1}{y} }{3+\frac{1}{y} } is equivalent to \frac{2y-1}{3y-1}

Step-by-step explanation:

The given expression is :\frac{2-\frac{1}{y} }{3+\frac{1}{y} }.

We collect LCM in both the numerator and the denominator to obtain:

\frac{\frac{2y-1}{y} }{\frac{3y-1}{y} }

Change to the normal division sign;

\frac{2y-1}{y} \div \frac{3y-1}{y}

Multiply by the reciprocal of the second fraction:

\frac{2y-1}{y} \times \frac{y}{3y-1}

Cancel out the common factors

\frac{2y-1}{3y-1}

Therefore \frac{2-\frac{1}{y} }{3+\frac{1}{y} } is equivalent to \frac{2y-1}{3y-1}
