How do you graph a system of linear equation?

Mathematics

Answer:

see below!

Step-by-step explanation:

you would graph each linear equation in a system as you would seperately.

the only difference is that they go on one graph.

so if you were to graph one linear equation, say it looked like

y=mx+b

all you have to remember is that b is the y intercept, or the value of y when x is 0

m is the slope. slope often looks like a fraction which is rise/run

hope that helps :)

Draw the graph for each side, member, of the equation and see where the curves cross, are equal. The x values of these points, are the solutions to the equation.

line in the Cartesian plane passes through the points (1, 3) and (5, 4). What is the slope of the line?
Ket [755]
\bf \begin{array}{ccccccccc}
&&x_1&&y_1&&x_2&&y_2\\
%  (a,b)
&&(~ 1 &,& 3~)
%  (c,d)
&&(~ 5 &,& 4~)

% slope  = m
slope =  m\implies
\cfrac{\stackrel{rise}{ y_2- y_1}}{\stackrel{run}{ x_2- x_1}}\implies \cfrac{4-3}{5-1}\implies \cfrac{1}{4}

Last year Ali biked c miles. This year, he biked 261 miles. Using c write an expression for the total number of miles he biked
Bingel [31]
The total amount Ali biked was over two years. To find that amount, you add the amount he biked each year. Since he biked 261 miles in one year and c miles in the other, the total amount of miles is 261 + c. That would be the expression used to describe the total number of miles.
