</span></span><span>Passed up his three remaining seasons of eligibility at the University of Maryland to sign with SC Heerenveen, one of the top teams in the Dutch first division, in August 2006. Played with Heerenveen’s reserves, getting time in five games, including three starts, and scoring two goals. Scored his first goal in just his second match with the reserves to help defeat PSV, 3-1, on 9/8. Scored his second goal against FC Twente on 9/26 in a 3-0 win. Secured his release in Feb. 2007 to sign with MLS.</span>
