A lot of it is all experimental as long as you are taking caution of safety while doing it. I personally would use copper wiring mainly for the fact that it is a nice conductor. For the wrap around the wiring i usually would use black or red electrical tape just because it has very nice insulator properties and is safe to use.

If a galaxy has an apparent velocity of 2300 km/s, what is its distance if the Hubble constant is assumed to be 70 km/s/Mpc
prohojiy [21]

The distance of the galaxy is 32.86 Mpc.

Using the hubble law, v = H₀D where v = apparent velocity of galaxy = 2300 km/s, H = hubble constant = 70 km/s/Mpc and D = distance of galaxy.

Since we require the distance of the galaxy, we make D subject of the formula in the equation. So, we have

D = v/H₀

Substituting the values of the variables into the equation, we have

D = 2300 km/s ÷ 70 km/s/Mpc

D = 32.86 Mpc

So, the distance of the galaxy is 32.86 Mpc

A dentist’s drill starts from rest. After 4.28 s of constant angular acceleration it turns at a rate of 28940 rev/min. Find the
mylen [45]

Answer:

Angular acceleration, is 708.07\ rad/s^2

Explanation:

Given that,

Initial speed of the drill, \omega_i=0

After 4.28 s of constant angular acceleration it turns at a rate of 28940 rev/min, final angular speed, \omega_f=28940\ rev/min=3030.58\ rad/s

We need to find the drill’s angular acceleration. It is given by the rate of change of angular velocity.

\alpha =\dfrac{\omega_f}{t}\\\\\alpha =\dfrac{3030.58\ rad/s}{4.28\ s}\\\\\alpha =708.07\ rad/s^2

So, the drill's angular acceleration is 708.07\ rad/s^2.

A small fish is dropped by a pelican that is rising steadily at 0.50 m/s.
natima [27]

Answer:

(a)  24.025 m/s. downward.

(b)  31 m

Explanation:

From Newton's equation of motion,

(a)

v = u + gt ................... Equation 1

Where v = final velocity, u = initial velocity, g = acceleration due to gravity, t = time.

Note: Let upward velocity be negative and downward be positive

Given: u = -0.5 m/s (upward), t = 2.5 s

Constant : g = 9.81 m/s²

Substitute into equation 1

v = 0.5+9.81(2.5)

v = -0.5+24.525

v = 24.025 m/s. downward.

(b) using

s₁ = ut + 1/2gt²......................... Equation 2

Where s₁ = distance at which the fish fall after being dropped by the pelican

Given: u = - 0.5 m/s, t = 2.5 s, g = 9.81 m/s²

Substitute into equation 2

s₁ = -0.5(2.5) + 1/2(9.81)(2.5)²

s₁ = -1.25+30.656

s₁ = 29.41 m

also,

s₂ = vt ................ Equation 3

Where s₂ = the distance by which the pelican rise during this time.

Given: v = 0.5 m/s, t= 2.5 s

s₂ = 0.5(2.5)

s₂ = 1.25 m.

Note: Distance between the pelican and fish = s₁ + s₂

Distance between the pelican and fish  = 29.41+1.25

Distance between the pelican and fish  = 30.66

Distance between the pelican and fish ≈ 31 m
