Replace the informations you don't know with letters.

x = number of bags
y = number of sandwiches

7x + 3y = 22
3x + y = 8

Then solve the equations.
First, isolate the y in the second one like this :
y = 8 - 3x

then replace the y in the first equation with its worth from the second equation :

7x + 3(8 - 3x) = 22

solve for x, then replace the value in the equations to get the value of y

Two children want to race around the city block. The length of the block is 80 yards. The width of the block is 60 yards.
Levart [38]
If you would like to know which is the correct unit of measurement to use when figuring out how many yards each child would run in the race, you can calculate this using the following steps:

80 yards * 2 + 60 yards * 2 = 160 + 120 = 280 yards

The correct measurement would be A. yards.

babymother [125]

Answer:

C, D, E

Step-by-step explanation:

You just need to multiply the numbers together.  Whichever choice is equal to 24, is your answer

So when you multiply for each one...

A is 36

B is 48

C is 24

D is 24

E is 24

So since C, D, E multiply to 24, they are the correct answers.
