How does biodiversity depend on a species' ability to reproduce

Biology

Biodiversity depends on a species' ability to reproduce itself. If a species cannot reproduce then it will die out. This depends on the climatic conditions of the region. If there is a natural disaster for example, it will affect a species' ability to reproduce. This reduces the number of diverse species on earth. Biodiversity is the recognised variety of different types of life found on the earth. It also measures the variety of number and variety of plants, animals and other organisms found in different ecosystems.

Which of the following is an example of a force that acts at a distance?
Levart [38]

Answer:

3. a leaf falling off of a tree to the ground.

Explanation:

Force is given by the multiplication of mass and acceleration.

Mathematically, Force is;

F = ma

Where;

 • F represents force measured in Newton.
 • m represents the mass of an object measured in kilograms.
 • a represents acceleration measured in meters per seconds square.

Force can be categorized into two (2) main types; forces that at a distance and forces the act by direct contact with the body.

A force that acts at a distance refers to the force exerted on a body or an object without any physical contact between them such as gravitational force, magnetic force and electric force. This simply means that, there can be a push or pull between objects even when they are not in physical contact with each other due to gravitational, magnetic or electric forces.

Some example of a force that acts at a distance is a leaf falling off of a tree to the ground, a magnet pulling an object to itself, a magnet pushing or repelling another magnet etc.

Flower color in snapdragons is an example of incomplete dominance. When a red-flowered plant is crossed with a white-flowered pl
Ira Lisetskai [31]

Answer:

25% red flowered

25% white flowered

50% pink flowered

Explanation:

Let the red flower color be represented by RR, the white color by rr.

When RR was crossed with rr, the offspring had pink flowers;

RR x rr = Rr, Rr, Rr, Rr (Pink color)

Crossing Rr with another Rr

Rr x Rr = RR, Rr, Rr, rr

RR = red

Rr = pink

rr = white

Hence, if a pink flowered plant is crossed with another pink flowered plant, 25% of their offspring will be red, 25% will be white and 50% will be pink.

Which is a limitation of a scientific model?
Triss [41]

Answer:

D. Models are not the "real thing" so it will never correctly represent the system in all respects.

This is the limitation of a scientific model

Explanation:

Scientific models are simplified than the real concept. It is not substitute for those scientific experiment which is continuously generating data. In scientific model lots of problem occur. In most of the scientific model we find details are missing. Models are based on approximation. It doesn’t give proper information about that topic. Scientific model has less accuracy. In process of making simpler, these models lost the accuracy. It cannot represent all the detail which eventually creates lots of problem in understanding the topic .
