1) The body of larva of silkworm consist of head, thorax and abdomen. The mouth part consist of pair of strong mandi­bles and a pair of lip.

2) There are three segments of thorax region. Each segment bears a pair of legs. The abdomen part is divided into ten segments. The third, fourth, fifth, sixth and ninth abdomi­nal part produces abdominal appendages called false legs.
