Mathematics

5 0
Yes. 95 is correct.
You have three congruent "indentations" in the right hand side. Thus each section must be 15/3 = 5 cm long.
The top rectangle will be 8*5 = 40 cm^2
The bottom rectangle will also be 8*5 = 40 cm^2
The middle area will be 5(8-5) = 5 * 3 = 15 cm^2
40 + 40 + 15 = 95

How do you graph y=-1.5<img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=%20x%5E%7B2%7D%20" id="TexFormula1" title=" x^{2} " alt=" x^{2} " align
lorasvet [3.4K]
y=-1.5 x^{2} +6 \\ \\ x=-3 \Rightarrow y=-1.5*(-3)^2+6 =-1.5*9+6=-13.5+6=-7.5\\ \\x=-2 \Rightarrow y=-1.5*(-2)^2+6 =-1.5*4+6=-6+6=0\\ \\x=-1 \Rightarrow y=-1.5*(-1)^2+6 =-1.5*1+6=-1.5+6=-4.5\\ \\x=0 \Rightarrow y=-1.5*0^2+6 =6

x=1 \Rightarrow y=-1.5*(1)^2+6 =-1.5+6=-4.5\\ \\ x= 2 \Rightarrow y=-1.5*2^2+6 =-1.5*4+6=-6+6=0\\ \\x=3 \Rightarrow y=-1.5*3^2+6 =-1.5*9+6=-13.5+6=-7.5

Write the equation of the line in point slope form that passes through (-1, -2) and ( 1, 4).
Musya8 [376]

Answer:

y+2= 3(x+1)

Step-by-step explanation:

First you need to find slope by using y2-y1/x2-x1

you should get 3 for your slope(m)

Them you chose any point iḿ using (-1, -2)

The formula for point slope form is...

y-y1=m(x-x1)

plug those numbers in and you get

y + 2 = 3(x + 1)
