Y=25x because if you were plug in the x for both equations:

y=25 (2)
y=50

y=25 (4)
y=100

It would be the same value as y.

scZoUnD [109]
You would set this up as Part÷Whole=Percent÷100
Part=117
Whole= X
Percent=78
117÷X=78÷100
Set these up as fractions and cross multiply. You will get 117×100=78X
117×100=11,700
Divide both sides by 78 and you get x=150
There were 150 problems

A triangle has sides with lengths of 65 in 72 in and 97 in is it a right triangle?
Ray Of Light [21]

Answer:

yes

Step-by-step explanation:

By pythagoras' theorem,

97^2 = 9409

65^2 + 72^2 = 9409

since 65^2 + 72^2 = 97^2, the triangle is a right angled triangle

This is a question on Pythagoras theorem. If you wish to venture further into it/understand this topic better, you may want to follow my Instagram account (learntionary), where I post some of my own notes on certain topics and also some tips that may be useful to you :)

What number should be added to both sides of the equation to complete the square?
lubasha [3.4K]

Answer:

9 should be added  to both sides of the equation to complete the square.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : x^2 -6x = 5

To Find: What number should be added to both sides of the equation to complete the square?

Solution:

x^2 -6x = 5

Add the square of  half of coefficient of x

So, the square of  half of coefficient of x = (\frac{6}{2})^2=3^2 =9

So, x^2 -6x +9 = 5+9

x^2 -6x +3^2 = 5+9

x^2 -2 \times 3 \times x +3^2 = 5+9

(x-3)^2 = 5+9

(x-3)^2 =14

Thus 9 should be added  to both sides of the equation to complete the square.
