Answer: The correct answer is -

A) RNA is mostly single-stranded; DNA is always double-stranded.

Explanation:

DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) and RNA (ribonucleic acid) are the two different forms of nucleic acid that carry the genetic information in the form of nucleotide sequences.

RNA is generally single stranded that is it has a single strand of nucleotide sequences (for example, genome of human immuno deficiency virus is single stranded RNA).

On the contrary, DNA always occurs in double stranded form (such as genetic material of human beings) that is it has two strands of nucleotide sequences, which are antiparallel or complementary to each other.

Thus, A) option is the right answer.

A is true, the others are not. I would assume they count the mRNA and tRNA in protein synthesis as 'double stranded'

Which of the following human activities MOST negatively affects natural climate change?
tino4ka555 [31]

The right answer is the burning of fossil fuels.

While all these proposals have a bad impact on the biosphere, Proposal B is the only one that has a direct link to climate change.

Air pollution by combustion is an alteration of air quality that can be characterized by measurements of chemical, biological or physical pollutants present in the air, with consequences that are detrimental to human health, to living beings , climate, or material goods.

Which of the following best defines a gene pool?
DIA [1.3K]

Answer:

The correct answer would be a. the sum of all genetic traits in a population’s individuals at a given time.

A gene pool is defined as a sum total of all the genes present in an inter-breeding population at a specific time.

It includes all the alleles of all the loci within the genes of a interbreeding population or species.

The composition of the gene pool of a population can change with course of a time due to evolution.

A large and diverse gene pool enhances the ability of a population to adapt, survive and evolve in a nature.
