4 0

Let, the present age of yours = x

present age of your brother = 4x

After 6 years, 2(x+6) = 4x+6

2x+12=4x+6

2x=6

x=3, 4x=12

So, your brother is 12 years of age now.

Let my present age be x.

My brother is 4 times as old = 4*x = 4x

Six years from now:

My age would be   x + 6

Brother's age would be:  4x + 6

Brother would be twice my age.

4x + 6 = 2*(x +6)

4x + 6 = 2*x + 2*6

4x + 6 = 2x + 12

4x - 2x = 12 - 6

2x = 6

x = 6 / 2

x = 3

Age of brother = 4x = 4*3 = 12

Brother = 12 years old now.

Hope this explains it.

What is the arithmetic rule to the sequence: <br>1/3,4/3,7/3<br><br>find: f(10)
makkiz [27]

The the value of f(n)=\frac{28}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

The Arithemetic sequence is given as a,a+d,a+2d......a(n-1)d

and f(n)=a(n-1)d

The given sequence is 1/3,4/3,7/3...

By comapring with Arithemetic sequence,

we get a=1/3

a+d=4/3

1/3 + d = 4/3

d=1

To find value of f(10):

take n=10

f(n)=\frac{1}{3} +(10-1)1

f(n)=\frac{1}{3} +(9)1

f(n)=\frac{1+27}{3}

f(n)=\frac{28}{3}

Please please help!!! I really need help on this quarion and I keep getting it wrong :(
Marta_Voda [28]

Answer:

f(x)=x^2+4\\g(x)=4x

(f+g)(x)=x^2+4+4x\\(f+g)(x)=x^2+4x+4

------------------------------------------------------------------

(f-g)(x)=x^2+4-(4x)\\(f-g)(x)=x^2+4-4x\\(f-g)(x)=x^2-4x+4\\

-----------------------------------------------------------------

(f*g)(x)=(x^2+4)(4x)\\(f*g)(x)=4x^3+16x

-----------------------------------------------------------------

(\frac{f}{g})(x)= \frac{x^2+4}{4x} \\

If the circumference of a circle measures
RoseWind [281]
<h2>Therefore the area of the circle is =289\pi cm^2</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the circumference of a circle measures 34 \pi cm

Let the radius of the circle be = r

Then circumference =2 \pi r cm

According to problem

2 \pi r = 34 \pi

⇔r = \frac {34}{2}

⇔r = 17 cm

Therefore the area of the circle is = \pi r^2

                                                    =\pi 17^2 cm^2

                                                    =289\pi  cm^2
