Glycolysis is the process responsible for generating the most ATP within cellular respiration
<span>
During cellular respiration, the food molecules such as glucose, are oxidized to carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) and trapped in ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) form for further us of cell’s activities. ATP’s are formed at mitochondria – the cell’s powerhouse. This type of organelle takes and breaks nutrients absorbed by the cell and creates energy afterward. The energy from ATP is then used by the body in kinetic activities like running & walking or involuntary activities like breathing, blood circulation, stimulus-responding, etc.</span>

The correct answer is letter A, the increased nitrates from the fertilizers leech into the water and cause algal blooms, which take oxygen out of the water and this suffocates fish.

This is one of the many chain reactions that agricultural farming brings to the environment, and it will be very common through the years as people have not figured out a safer way to protect crops.

The adrenal medulla secretes epinephrine during sympathetic stimulation. Why epinephrine would increase the sympathetic response
user100 [1]

Answer: Because epinephrine activates the fight or flight response, related to the sympathethic response in the body.

Explanation:

The function of the Autonomic Nervous System is the regulation of the system cardiovascular, digestion, respiration, body temperature, metabolism, exocrine glands, and therefore keep the internal environment constant (homeostasis). While sympathetic activity increases in stress, the activity parasympathetic predominates during rest and satiety. The adrenal medulla originates from the neural crest and is composed of neuroendocrine specialized cells and are responsible for the production of catecholamines.

Catecholamines are dopamine, adrenaline, and noradrenaline (epinephrine and norepinephrine). Epinephrine prepares muscles, lungs, and heart for more intense activity, in situations of stress. It promotes the increase in the force of contraction in the muscles and increases in the heart rate. It also leads to increased blood pressure and bronchodilation, for greater availability of O2.

which statements about oxidative phosphorylation are true? the mechanisms of phosphorylation and oxidation are directly coupled.
arlik [135]

The true statements about oxidative phosphorylation are the mechanisms of phosphorylation and oxidation are directly coupled.

<h3>What is oxidative phosphorylation ?</h3>
  • An electron transfer chain that is fueled by substrate oxidation and connected to ATP generation via an electrochemical transmembrane gradient is known as oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS).
  • Cells employ enzymes to oxidize foods in the metabolic process known as oxidative phosphorylation, electron transport-linked phosphorylation, or terminal oxidation, which releases chemical energy to create adenosine triphosphate. This happens inside mitochondria in eukaryotes.

Steps in Oxidative Phosphorylation

  • Electron Transport using NADH and FADH2. Near the start of the transport chain, reduced NADH and FADH2 transmit their electrons to molecules. ... the splitting of oxygen into water, proton pumping, electron transport, and ATP synthesis.

"Every cell has its own clock, for example, skin cells. What is the clock of the skin cells?"
n200080 [17]

Answer: Clock in the skin cells is called circadian clock.

Explanation:

Circadian clock is a system that requlates how the skin function and human physiology. The stem cells of basal epidermal harbors circadian clock.Circadian clock is found in some skin cells like melanocytes, keratinocytes and fibroblasts. Circadian clock found in skin cells may function by regulating cell proliferation.
