So what you do is distribute the invisible -1 in front of the second parenthasees set and add like terms
remember
x^2+3x^2=4x^2
-(3+4x-x^2)=-1(3x+4x-x^2)=-3-4x+x^2

so first distribute the negative 1
-1(-4f^2-3f+6)=4f^2+3f-6
add
12f^2-9f+15+4f+3f-6
group like terms
12f^2+4f^2-9f+3f+15-6
add
16f^2-6f+9

aswer is 16f^2-6f+9

yanira is 3 years older than tim and twice as old as hannah. tim is 2 years older than hannah. how old are yanira, tim, and hann
tekilochka [14]
Yanira = Y

Tim = T

Hannah = H

-----------------

Therefore:

Y=T+3

Y=2H

T=H+2

---------------

Now, we know that:

Y=T+3

But we also know that:

T=H+2

Therefore:

Y=(H+2)+3

Y=H+5

-------------------

Now we can combine the equations:

Y=H+5

Y=2H

Therefore:

2H=H+5

2H-H=5

So, H=5.

---------------------

If H=5,

Y=2H=2*5=10

---------------------

If H=5,

T=H+2=5+2=7

-----------------------

Answers:

Yanira is 10 years old.

Tim is 7 years old.

Hannah is 5 years old.

A truck can be rented from Company A for $110 a day plus $0.30 per mile. Company B charges $30 a day plus $0.40 per mile to
Bezzdna [24]
We know that Company B will be less expensive at first, but Company A will become a better option as the miles rack up. Eventually, Company A will be less expensive. There will be a point where the price will be the same for each company.

150 + .20x = Company A
70 + .40x = Company B

If we set these two equations equal to each other, we find out when the price will be the same.

Drupady [299]

Mr. duc asked to set up 450 chairs in a large hall. Perry puts 20 chairs in each row. He has already set up 15 rows of chairs

Each row consists of 20 chairs

He already set up 15 rows

So number of chairs he already set up = chairs in each row * number of rows

20 * 15 = 300

So , he already set up 300 chairs

Total chairs to set up is 450

Remaining chairs to set up = 450 - 300 = 150

So, 150 more chairs to set up
