Answer:

<h2>$25 is a fixed number, cannot be increased, decreased or deleted.</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

In the situation, the math are modified by the fixed value of $25, which should be a addition to the variable term in the proper math expression.

What is the solution to this equation?<br><br> 8x - 5 (x-3) = 18
Kaylis [27]

Answer:

x=1

Step-by-step explanation:

We distribute the negative 5 to x minus three to get 8x-5x+15=18. Then, we cancel out the 15 by subtracting it from both sides. This leaves us with 8x-5x=3. When we subtract, we get 3x=3, and when we divide both sides by 3, we get x=1. Hope this helps :)

Please please help <br><br> Given the function f(x)=1/3x*2-3x+5 determine the inverse relation
yuradex [85]

The inverse relation of the function f(x)=1/3x*2-3x+5 is f-1(x) = 9/2 + √(3x + 21/4)

<h3>How to determine the inverse relation?</h3>

The function is given as

f(x)=1/3x^2-3x+5

Start by rewriting the function in vertex form

f(x) = 1/3(x - 9/2)^2 -7/4

Rewrite the function as

y = 1/3(x - 9/2)^2 -7/4

Swap x and y

x = 1/3(y - 9/2)^2 -7/4

Add 7/4 to both sides

x + 7/4= 1/3(y - 9/2)^2

Multiply by 3

3x + 21/4= (y - 9/2)^2

Take the square roots

y - 9/2 = √(3x + 21/4)

This gives

y = 9/2 + √(3x + 21/4)

Hence, the inverse relation of the function f(x)=1/3x*2-3x+5 is f-1(x) = 9/2 + √(3x + 21/4)

1) Se o 5o e o 9-o termos de uma PA são, respectivamente, 40 e 68, então a razão r da progressão é: a) r = 6 b) r = 7 c) r = 9 d
Maslowich

Answer:

1) b) r = 7

2) e) 82

Step-by-step explanation:

Progressão aritmética:

Em uma progressão aritmética, a diferença entre termos consecutivos é sempre a mesma, chamada de razão.

O n-ésimo termo de uma PA é dado por, tomando o primeiro termo como referência:

a_n = a_1 + (n-1)r

Tomando o m-ésimo termo como referência, tem-se que:

a_n = a_m + (n-m)r

1) Se o 5o e o 9-o termos de uma PA são, respectivamente, 40 e 68, então a razão r da progressão é:

a_5 = 40, a_9 = 68. Então:

a_n = a_m + (n-m)r

68 = 40 + 4r

4r = 28

r = \frac{28}{4} = 7

Então a resposta correta é dada pela alternativa b.

2) Inserindo-se 6 números entre 72 e 107, de modo que a sequência (72, a2, a3, a4, a5, a6, a7 ,107) seja uma progressão aritmética, tem-se a3 igual a:

O primeiro termo é a_1 = 72 e o oitavo termo é a_8 = 107. Com isso, é possível encontrar a razão.

a_n = a_1 + (n-1)r

107 = 72 + 7r

7r = 35

r = \frac{35}{7} = 5

Então, o terceiro termo é:

a_3 = a_1 + 2r = 72 + 2(5) = 82

Logo, a resposta correta é dada pela alternativa e.

PLZ HELP ME
Nat2105 [25]
You need at least 2 congruent angles , or 3 proportional sides , or 2 proportional sides and 1 congruent angle to prove that 2 triangles are similar.
I presume that there should be a picture attached to this question , but if you only have 1 side in proportion ( x ) , you cannot prove the similarity of two triangles.

But if there already were two proportional sides or 1 proportional side and one congruent angle , you can prove they are similar if x = 48

Hope it helps
