The correct answer is D because originally, no slaves were counted in the entire population of slave owning states. This angered states (ones like Virginia) because slaves made up a great number of the population, though they were not counted.

Answer:

d. increased the power of slave states by counting 3/5 of the slaves instead of none of them.

Explanation:

The Three-Fifths Compromise was an agreement made between delegates during the Constitutional Convention (1787) that established that the number of seats of the House of Representatives for each state should be calculated in accordance to the number of free persons, (excluding Indians not taxed) and the three-fifths of slaves, instead of none of them since slaves were regarded as a property or a thing and not as people.

The Compromise, then, would increase the representation and political power of Southern states which were the ones with more slave population. In the first US Congress of 1790, for example, the Southern states accounted for 47 seats in the House of Representatives.

B. branchial cleft cyst.

C. Stensen duct stone.

D. thyroglossal duct cyst.

Explanation:

A thyroglossal cyst is a mass or lump of tissue formed at the base of the neck. Slowly it leads to the formation of the thyroid gland and leads to swelling. This leads to a high neck region at the bottom of the tongue. This usually occurs during birth.

It causes difficulty in breathing and swallowing of food. Infection may occur when it is untreated. Cyst formation takes place if the thyroid reached the final stage and the duct doesn't disappear. The cyst grows and causes an enlargement in the neckline.
