1A technical magazine stated that the mean retail cost of all models of a particular laptop was $600. A random sample of 10 stor

es that sell that laptop in Los Angeles found it sold with a mean cost of $ 586.50 and a standard deviation of $26.77. Does this indicate that the mean cost of that laptop in Los Angeles is less than $ 600

Answer:

Yes

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Population mean Z = 600

Sample mean, µ = 586.50

Size of the sample, n = 10

Standard deviation, σ = 26.77

The testing hypothesis is,

Null hypothesis = µ<600

Alternative hypothesis = µ≥600

The test statistics is the calculated value of Z,

(Z- µ)/(σ/√n)

= (600-586.50)/(26.77/√10)

= (13.5*3.1623)/26.77

= 42.691/26.77

= 1.5947

And at 5% level of significance, the table value of Z = 1.644

Here, calculated Z<Table value of Z, so we accept the null hypothesis.

So, the null hypothesis is accepted. The mean value of the laptop is less than 600.

The pizza costs £18.00. Mark agrees to pay 1/4 of the cost. Samuel agrees to pay 1/2 of the cost Imran agrees to pay the rest. H
MariettaO [177]

Answer:

4.5 or 4.50 dollars

Step-by-step explanation:

if we split 18.00 into \frac{1}{4} each part of the fraction would be 4.5 . or 4.50

mark pays 4.50

samuel pays 9.00

add those both and you'll get 13.50 $

now subtract 13.50 from 18.00 ( og price)

imran pays 4 . 5 0

hope this helped :p

River C is 100 miles longer than River D. If the sum of their lengths is 5,570 miles, what is the length of each river?
lyudmila [28]

Let the Length of River D be : P

Given : River C is 100 Miles Longer than River D

⇒ Length of River C = P + 100

Given : The Sum of Both Rivers is 5570 Miles

⇒ P + (P + 100) = 5570

⇒ 2P + 100 = 5570

⇒ 2P = 5570 - 100

⇒ 2P = 5470

⇒ P = 2735

⇒ Length of River D is : 2735 Miles

⇒ Length of River C is : (P + 100) = (2735 + 100) = 2835 Miles
