Janet learned in science class that the amount of salt that can dissolve in a certain amount of water depends on the temperature

of the water. She decides to do an experiment to test this. She carefully adds salt, 100 mg at a time, to a cup of water and stirs until all the salt dissolves. When she has added so much salt that it will not dissolve after 5 minutes, she measures the temperature of the water. She records the temperature and the final amount of salt. She does this with cold water, cool water, room-temperature water, warm water, and hot water.
What is the independent variable in this experiment?

A. the temperature of the water
B. the amount of salt
C. the amount of water
D. how long it took the salt to dissolve

Did the Romans commit genocide against the Gauls
Likurg_2 [28]

Answer:

No. The Romans did not commit genocide against the Gauls

Explanation:

Julius Ceaser's Gallic Wars occurred from 58 to 51 B.C. Gaul was invaded by the Romans mainly for money. Ceaser needed to pay off his debts and also wanted to keep making a name for himself, thus invading Gaul was the answer. He didn't care about the people who lived there nor did he ever discuss their culture, nationality, or race as being a reason for invading. If we look at the definition of genocide it's "the deliberate or systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group." Again, Ceaser never listed any of those as being a reason for invasion; all he needed was victories.

Autonomous underwater explorers will be used to gather large-scale ocean information. Please select the best answer from the cho
inn [45]

Answer:

Autonomous underwater explorers will be used to gather large-scale ocean information is a FALSE statement.

Explanation:

 • In order to collect large-scale information on the oceans, using autonomous underwater explorers would not be a feasible option as the range of study that they would be able to carry out would be way too limited compared to what the government and the allied organizations could do by putting to use large equipment like submarines and other machines.
 • Also, the data collected by autonomous explorers would have to be authenticated in some or the other way. That would probably take another study in the same discipline because there would be no other way to authenticate it.

What did Confucius believe
Vika [28.1K]
Confucianism is an ethical and philosophical system that is normally considered one of the world religions. It originated in China but has spread to Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam. Most people who adhere to the teachings of Confucius follow Chinese traditional religion, which is a blending of Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, and traditional local practices and beliefs.

Confucianism is more of a belief system about social order than it is one about God, the existence of god. There is piety towards god but god itself is not set in stone.
