Answer:

=−3x+3y+15

Step by Step:

2y − 4x + 14 − 6y + 3x − 8 − 2x + 9 + 7y

=2y +−4x + 14 +−6y + 3x +−8 +−2x + 9 + 7y

Combine Like Terms:

=2y +−4x +1 4 +−6y + 3x +−8 +−2x + 9 + 7y

=(−4x + 3x +−2x) + (2y +−6y + 7y) + (14 +−8 + 9)

=−3x + 3y + 15

It helps to seperate the variables. Maybe highlighting the x one color y's another color and constant another. just so you can see the different numbers. it gets confusing looking at everything all together.

One number exceeds another number by 6. One fourth of the sum of the two numbers is two less than the smaller.
dolphi86 [110]

Answer:

7 and 13

Step-by-step explanation:

let the 2 numbers be x and y , x > y , then

x = y + 6 → (1)

\frac{1}{4} (x + y) = y - 2 ( multiply both sides by 4 to clear the fraction )

x + y = 4y - 8 ( subtract 4y from both sides )

x - 3y = - 8 → (2)

Substitute x = y + 6 into (2)

y + 6 - 3y = - 8

- 2y + 6 = - 8 ( subtract 6 from both sides )

- 2y = - 14 ( divide both sides by - 2 )

y = 7

Substitute y = 7 into (1)

x = 7 + 6 = 13

The 2 numbers are 7 and 13

What is the APPROXIMATE circumference of a circle with a radius of 9 inches? Use 3.14 for π. 28.3 in. 56.5 in. 254.34 in. 113.0
Stella [2.4K]

Answer:

56.52 in

Step-by-step explanation:

Circumference Formula: C = 2πr

Since we are given radius r = 9, simply plug it into the formula:

C = 2π(9)

C = 18π

C = 56.5487
