And reaches to a velocity of 40 m /sec in 5 sec

So final velocity v = 40 m /sec

And time taken t = 5 sec

From first equation of motion v = u +at

So 40=0+a\times 5

a=8m/sec^2

Now we have to find the force acting the driver

From newtons law we know that F = ma

So force F = 97×8 = 776 N

So force acting on the driver will be 776 N
