Answer: The density of the block will be 0.32g/cm^3

Explanation:

Density is defined as the mass contained per unit volume.

Density=\frac{mass}{Volume}

Given : Mass of block = 8.0 grams

Volume of block= 25cm^3

Putting in the values we get:

Density=\frac{8.0g}{25cm^3}=0.32g/cm^3

Thus density of the block will be 0.32g/cm^3

D = m/v

D = 8g / 25 cm^3 x 1000,000 cm^3/1000g

D = 320 kg/ m^3 or 0.32g/cm^3

Ccl2f2 is considered to be environmentally safe and is used as a refrigerant. The heat of vaporization of ccl2f2 is 289 j/g. Wha
algol [13]

Answer:

52.08grams

Explanation:

Heat of fusion is the energy needed to transform solid water into liquid water. Hess's Law.

The temperature change Liquid water to Solid Ice. 20 degrees C --> 0 degrees C. is 20 degree C.

The heat needed for this is = 4.184 J/(g*C) * (36 grams of water) * 20 degrees C = 3012 joules of energy.

Liquid water to solid water.

Heat of fusion of water is 335j/g = 6.02kJ/mol

The heat needed for this is 6.02 kJ/mol * 2 moles of water = 12.04 kJ = 12040 joules of energy.

Adding the two energies, we have a total energy iof 15052 joules.

15052 joules = H(vap of CCl2F2) * grams of CCl2F2 needed = 289 J/g * x grams 15052 / 289 = 52.08 grams needed.

As Scientist B did the experiment incorrectly tht is Gretchen measured out 5 grams of aluminum and heated it with excess fluorine gas.

What is the stoichiometry in chemistry?

Chemical Stoichiometry refers back to the quantitative look at of the reactants and merchandise concerned in a chemical reaction. The word “ stoichiometry” is derived from the Greek word “stoikhein” which means detail and “metron” which means measure.

 1. As scientists used the insufficient amount of Al due to which weight of Al2O3 is not found ane caused the high error.
 2. It includes stoichiometry to show how the scientist can make the experiment correct by the production of 19 g of ALF3 which is 26.98 x 19 / 83.98 g of Al.
 3. so the mass is 610 g of Al that would be the correct amount.

Sodium has an atomic number of 11 and has a net charge of 0. When sodium combines with chlorine, it has a net charge of +1. Why?
Mamont248 [21]

Answer: Option (A) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

Atomic number of sodium is 11 and its electronic configuration is 1s^{2}2s^{2}2p^{6}3s^{1}.

In order to gain stability, sodium loses one electron and hence it forms a positive ion (Na^{+}).

Thus, we can conclude that when sodium combines with chlorine, it has a net charge of +1 because sodium loses a negative electron when forming chemical bonds.

lions [1.4K]

Answer:

When ionic solutes are dissolved in water, the molecules of water pull the ions of the crystal apart and the electrostatic forces are cut off. Further the ions are surrounded by the water molecules which act as a barrier around the ions and prevent the recombination of ions.
