Sore throats and fever are the symptoms that require a worker to stop working and go home.

Further Explanation

Sore throats and fever are typically the symptoms that a person has upper respiratory tract infection.

Upper respiratory tract infection (URI)

It is one of the typical illness that results to a worker or a student to missed work or school. Majority of upper respiratory infections are caused by viruses, while some infections are caused by bacteria.

Symptoms

Symptoms of upper respiratory infection are the following:

 • Cough
 • Sneezing
 • Nasal discharge
 • Nasal congestion
 • Runny nose
 • Fever
 • Sore throat

Is upper respiratory tract infection contagious

Upper respiratory tract is contagious. It transfer from person to person by inhaling respiratory droplets from coughing and sneezing. It can also be transferred through touching an object exposed to the virus and then touching the nose or mouth. Therefore since the illness is contagious, a worker who have these symptoms must stop working and go home to avoid the spread of the virus. Basic hygiene procedure, such as, proper hand washing and covering face while coughing or sneezing, may reduce the spread of respiratory tract infections.

Treatment

Antibiotics are rarely needed to treat upper respiratory infections and generally should be avoided, unless the doctor suspects a bacterial infection. Mostly treatment are directed to relieve the symptoms.

The following are the common treatments for relief of symptoms:

 • Nasal decongestants can improve breathing. But the treatment may be less effective with repeated use and can cause rebound nasal congestion.
 • Steam inhalation and gargling with salt water are a safe way to get relief from URI symptoms.
 • Analgesics like acetaminophen and NSAIDs can help reduce fever, aches, and pains.

All your muscles need more oxygen during exercise?
SashulF [63]

Answer:

Yes

Explanation:

When you exercise and your muscles work harder, your body uses more oxygen and produces more carbon dioxide. To cope with this extra demand, your breathing has to increase from about 15 times a minute (12 litres of air) when you are resting, up to about 40–60 times a minute (100 litres of air) during exercise.

A person that drinks alcohol every night but does not think they have a problem, is in what stage of change?
Juli2301 [7.4K]

In other words, their drinking may have a purely cognitive cause. “moderation management”. Over time, a brain chronically exposed to alcohol also loses its ability to produce and use dopamine, one of the main chemicals that makes humans feel “good” or euphoric. The addicted brain is addicted. And it’s not one or two drinks the addicted brain wants.
