Answer

Chaucer draws on the ESTATES satire prevalent in his time to bring out the traits of the different classes of society. He uses the technique of FRAME story to hold the narrative together.

Explanation:

Geoffrey Chaucer's "The Canterbury Tales" is a frame narrative story told by numerous pilgrims on their way to Canterbury. The tales told by the different characters all reflect their true selves, according to their professions and backgrounds.

In this tale, Chaucer draws on the estates satire which is a writing genre that focuses on the societal classes of the time. Most writings of this genre occurs during the Medieval times where class/ status plays a huge role in the identification and understanding of a person.

Chaucer also uses the technique of a frame narrative to make the stories stick together. This type of frame narrative is when a story is included in the main story, like different sub-branches from the main part. In simple words, we can say a frame narration is "a story within a story". This happens when a narrator tells a story about a person who then narrates a story too.

Which of the following is a part of standard English?
dlinn [17]
B. Abbreviations for words

Using abbreviations is fine but they shouldn’t be overly used or it may be problematic.

Some abbreviations that would always be deemed as standard English are Dr., Ms., Mrs., and Mr.

A. Transliterations is incorrect because it’s the process of changing the form of a word or letter into another language; it has nothing to do with standard english.

C. Parts of speech is incorrect because it has to do with sentence structures and not with the standards of English. Parts of speech is the characterization of words, such as nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs.

D. Technical jargon is incorrect because jargon are words that are mostly used by people of a certain profession. These words do not fall under standard English because they’re not commonly used, thus, not usually understood.

Answer:

Being selfless means you are kind enough to put other's needs before yourself. So Tris is considerate, and probably helps other people before helping himself (sorry if its another gender I don't know what Tris's gender is.)

Explanation:

I hope that helped.

If you got it mixed up with being hopeful just remember a hopeful person doesn't have to be kind, and an assertive person often has a fiery personality.

In the story, The Miracle Worker, the voices in Anny's memory are her brother Jimmy's Voice.

The description of the Asylum is very shocking to Mrs. Keller and the Captain. This is because she shares very horrible details of the experience she and Jimmie had while living there.

How would Anny's story affect a normal parent?

Anny's story is one that has the capacity to instill fear and caution in the hearts of a parent thus preventing them from sending their children to such a place if they were thinking of doing so.
