The Overload Principle is a basic fitness training concept. It means that in order to improve, athletes must continue to work harder as they their bodies adjust to existing workouts.

The first step you should take when you want to determine the amount of overload and include it into an exercise program would be to assess your current level of fitness and slowly and steadily you can increase the frequency, intensity and time.
